Online and Manually Taken Order Process
Drink orders online to manually taken.
- When taking a verbal drinks order make sure you write the time the order was taken on the top of the ticket before presenting to the person pouring the drinks behind the bar.
- The bar person will place manually taken order tickets consecutively and check regularly the time on ticket against the time on the online orders to know which order (online or manually taken) to prepare next.
The goal here is to not have a preference for online or manually taken orders and a fair delivery time to customers regardless to how they place an order or how busy we are.
Customers would not wish to wait longer the 5 minutes for their order and would start to become aggravated if waiting over 15 minutes therefore if you have taken an order keep a watchful eye on the time it is taking from order to being prepared. If the order is going to be delayed speak to the customer, be apologetic and inform them about the slight delay. This will be greatly appreciated by the customer who will then stop worrying that we may have forgotten their order altogether.
A skilful server will be able to work as part of a team to provide an efficient service, which makes customers feel noticed and welcome. This will include contributing to the good standards of a premises and creating the right atmosphere.
Note
We do not at any time inform customers that they must only use the online ordering system to order a drink. Thank you.
